The Laclede’s Landing Foundation, the public-space organizational partner of the Laclede’s Landing Redevelopment Corporation, is responsible for the quality of the public environment of Laclede’s Landing. The Foundation introduced a public arts program for the area in 1996, resulting in the installation, to date, of seven works of art. It has now completed a Public Art Strategy, funded by the Whitaker Foundation, for the entire improved riverfront that will result in the installation of at least 15 works of art by 2006.
