The Wm. and Florence Schmidt Art Center building is located on the northeast corner of Southwestern Illinois College campus, Belleville, Illinois. The public community college serves more than 10,000 students a semester. The art center’s mission is to serve the college and community by presenting images that inspire, inform and connect. Changing exhibits feature work from the college/ foundation collection, contemporary, or historic artists. Exhibits are free and open to the public Tuesday through Saturday from 11 am to 5 pm. Thursdays from 11 am – 8 pm. Easy driving access from Highway 64 at exit 16 or take MetroLink to College Station.
